Filtering is legal. So is riding a powerful machine. Neither is negligence, and neither should reduce your damages by default. Where speed genuinely is in issue, it is a question for collision investigation evidence, not for an insurer’s opening letter.

Riders’ injuries tend to be orthopaedic and long-running, which means the claim should not be settled until the medical picture is clear. Settling a leg fracture at six months, before anyone knows whether the plate is staying in, is how riders end up badly under-compensated.
