Most road traffic claims are not complicated. Someone drove without enough care, you were injured, and the other driver’s insurer has to put you back in the position you would have been in. Time limits A road traffic injury claim must usually be brought within three years of the date of the accident. If the injured person was under 18, the three years generally run from their 18th birthday. Different rules apply where someone lacks the capacity to manage their own affairs. Check your dates with us. Once the limitation period passes, the claim is normally lost whatever its merits.
