Languages we speak
English, Russian, Polish, Ukrainian, Belarusian and Gujarati, spoken in this office rather than arranged through an agency.
Describing an injury is difficult in your first language. Doing it in your second, to someone who is writing down what you say and will rely on it later, is harder still, and the detail is exactly what an injury claim turns on.
Between us we speak English, Russian, Polish, Ukrainian, Belarusian and Gujarati. That means you can explain what happened in your own words, ask what a document means before you sign it, and understand what is being offered and why.
Why it matters more than it sounds
- Medical appointments. A medical expert’s report values your claim. If symptoms are lost in translation, the report is wrong and so is the valuation.
- Witness statements. Your account of the accident is evidence. It should read as what you actually said.
- Settlement decisions. Accepting an offer is your decision to make. You cannot make it properly through a relative translating on speakerphone.
- Documents. A funding agreement, a Part 36 offer, a schedule of loss. You should understand what each one does before you respond to it.
If your language is not on the list
Tell us anyway. We arrange professional interpreters where we need to, and the cost of doing so is dealt with as part of the claim rather than charged to you.
