Accessibility

Many of the people who come to this site are recently injured. Some are reading it one-handed, some with a head injury, some on a phone in a hospital waiting room. That has shaped how it is built.

What we have done

• Text sizes scale with your browser or device settings rather than being fixed.
• Colour contrast has been checked against the WCAG 2.2 AA contrast thresholds.
• The whole site can be operated by keyboard, and focus is always visible.
• Headings, landmarks and form labels are marked up properly for screen readers.
• Animation is reduced automatically if your device asks for reduced motion.
• Content is written in plain English and kept short.

Where we know it falls short
